New Credit Score Equation
You may have heard that the 3 credit reporting agencies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, have announced that they will be using a single equation for your credit score now. The new system is called VantageScore. Previously, each agency had their own method for computing your score. They were fairly close for both my wife and I when we last got them (last summer when we were buying our new house), but they were off a little. Now you should have the same score no matter which one you check...which begs the question, what is the point of all of them now? How are they all going to stay in business when they do the exact same thing? Maybe I am missing something.
